For your convenience we have put together a list of questions we are most frequently asked. If you do not find your question answered on this page, please feel free to contact us.

What window cleaning method do you use?

Here at Pure Clean, our window cleaning methods include traditional window cleaning- applicator and squeegee or a top of the range, reach and wash, pure water fed pole system to clean those high and difficult to reach windows.

What is a water fed pole system?
A water fed pole system uses 100% purified water. Pure water is produced by passing tap water through a series of filters called a 'reverse osnosis' system, similar in fact, to those that produce water for aquariums. These filters de-mineralise the water, which is then passed through a de-ionisation filter that removes every last bit of impurity making it 100% pure- leaving your window smear and streak free.

How often should I have my windows cleaned?
We offer a 4 or 8 week service on residential window cleaning.
Commercial companies may require their windows cleaned more regularly.

Do I need to be at home while my windows are cleaned?
We do not actually require for you to be at home when we clean your windows. In fact, the vast majority of our customers are out when we come around. If you are not at home we will leave a receipt of the date and time your clean was carried out, along with payment details. We will collect payments on an arranged day and time.

I have a locked rear gate, how will you get access?
Many of our customers prefer a text message the night before we come, to allow them to make the necessary arrangements eg. Leaving your gate unlocked. We will re-lock the gate when we leave. We can also access your back windows by using ladders to get over side/back gates if that is preferred, so no jumping over using the fence is involved.

Do you clean frames & ledges?
Yes, yes, yes, at no extra charge! This is all included in the price, as well as your front door too.

Do you clean the inside of  windows?
Yes we can. In fact we recommend our customers book an internal window clean at least every 6 months. It's surprising the difference it will make! Internal cleans nearly always take longer than an external clean, so please give us a little bit of notice, to arrange our diaries appropriately.

Can you clean windows in the rain?
We can clean in all conditions, except torrential rain and very high winds. The rain has little effect on the cleaning and all dirt is still removed. It might rain as soon as we have left but your windows and frames will still be clean.  In previous years in industrial areas like the West Midlands, when the air was full of smoke and dust, the rain may well have resulted in dirty windows. Since the Clean Air Act, however this is no longer the case - but the 'old wives tale' lives on. Now most of the problem comes from those cleaning the windows not wanting to get wet themselves. Even in the winter we can clean. Cleaning after snow is always important as snow attracts dirt especially to sills and frames.

Are you insured?
Yes, we have Full Public Liability Insurance. All of our staff are insured and fully trained.

Do you ever sub-contract your work?
No. All work quoted by Pure Clean will be personally carried out by a fully trained member of the Pure Clean Team.
